The view from the UK-Korea Next-Generation Symposium. Look at the size of that banner! My talk went pretty well, I think. It was a struggle staying awake all afternoon, a darkened room is pretty much the worst place to recover from jetlag. These guys are well up to speed on next-generation sequencing and the quality of the local science was impressive. Money is not a problem with 25% of grants getting funding. I’d say Britain is essentially doomed.
